Plan your next step

Estimate a bill and check your assessment

Census survey estimates, 2020–2024. These county medians describe a survey population; they do not establish your home’s correct assessment.

Median home value
$346,200
Median annual taxes paid
$5,268
Estimated effective rate
1.52%

Census home values, Census taxes paid. Last verified 2026-10-24. Rate = median taxes ÷ median home value. Displayed rates are rounded; calculations use the unrounded ratio.

Example at $346,200: $5,268 per year, using the Census estimate.

Is my assessment too high?

At the default market value and bill, both equal the county medians. Being above a median does not establish overassessment. Assessed or taxable values may use a different basis and cannot be compared directly with Census market values.

Appeal timing and filing

Usually May 15 or 30 days after the notice of appraised value is mailed, whichever is later.

How to file: The local Appraisal Review Board (ARB).

State guidance: An ARB order may be appealed to district court by petition within 60 days of receipt.
